Families make wooden medallions on Free Saturday Forest School

2pm to 4pm Saturday 5th October 2019 charity Nature Vibezzz ran a free family forest school Saturday sessions in Knight’s Hill Wood (near to West Norwood Fire Station). The next free session at Knights Hill Wood will be 2pm to 4pm 12th October 2019.

Participants enjoyed tree climbing, rope swing, bug hunting, litter picking, colouring, making animal masks and more.

The session acivity involved familes sawing, decorating and drilling wood to make their own personalised wooden medallion and learning to use peelers / knives to whittle wooden sticks.

2nd Free Forest School activity on Plumstead Common

2pm to 4pm Sunday 14th July 2019 charity Nature Vibezzz ran a free forest school activity session for families at Plumstead Common Nature Reserve. The session is part of Nature Vibezzz project funded by the Major of London Family Fund.

These free forest school sessions was made possible through the support of Friends of Plumstead Common and permission of Greenwich Borough Council staff.

The families attending worked together to cut back most of the brambles and nettles encroaching on the paths. Whislt families hunted bugs around the woodland site, made animal masks, coloured pictures and made wooden medallions using tools to saw / drill.

Next Sunday 21st July 2019 Nature Vibezzz will be running Forest School activities at Plumstead Live! Family Music Festival on Winns Common starting at 3pm.

Children make wooden medallions on free family forest school session

2pm to 4pm Saturday 29th June 2019 charity Nature Vibezzz ran a free family forest school session in Knight’s Hill Wood (near to West Norwood Fire Station). This session was part of weekly Saturday activities at Knight’s Hill Wood funded by The Major of London Family Fund.

Participants enjoyed rope climbing, rope swing, bug hunting, making masks and colouring. Everyone worked together to put woodchip on the woodland paths to make the site more inviting for the local community to use.

The session finished with a healthy fruit snack and through using saw and drill the children made wooden medallions.

The next free Nature Vibezzz family forest school activity session will be 2pm to 4pm Saturday 6th July 2019. Everyone is welcome to come and join us to learn more about the woodland and it nature.

Families make a big difference to community woodland on charity Nature Vibezzz free Saturday Forest School

2pm to 4pm Saturday 25th May 2019 charity Nature Vibezzz ran a free family forest school session in Knight’s Hill Wood (near to West Norwood Fire Station). This session was part of weekly Saturday activities at Knight’s Hill Wood funded by The Major of London Family Fund.

Participants enjoyed rope climbing, rope swing, bug hunting, making masks and colouring. Everyone worked together to put woodchip on the woodland paths to make the site more inviting for the local community to use. The session finished with the children making their own unique medallion, in the process learning how to cut wood using a saw and make holes in wood using a drill.

The next free Nature Vibezzz family forest school activity session will be  after school half term 2pm to 4pm Saturday 8th June 2019. Everyone is welcome to come and join us in fun activities that have many benefits including building children’s confidence and self-esteem.

Free Forest School family fun at Hillside Gardens Park & Palace Road Nature Garden

1pm to 3pm Friday 24th May 2019 charity Nature Vibezzz ran a free forest school activity session for families at Hillside Park Gardens. The session is part of Nature Vibezzz project funded by the Major of London Family Fund with weekly activities at various sites including free afternoon Friday (school term time) sessions at Hillside Gardens Park with next session 1pm to 3pm Friday 7th June 2019.

The session activity involved making wooden medallions using saw and  drill the families taking a trip to Palace Road Nature Garden where they enjoyed a healthy fruit snack.
